Hello I had a pretty alright dream.

I was my Dragonself and apparently there was "ancient" evil that had manifested itself into a woman like shape. It apparently threatened mortals and especially dragons, since some had been disappearing and the other dragons knew it, and didn't have the courage to face it. There was news of the evil (it didn't have name) preying on this fortress town somewhere, and if it was going to be fought now would be a good time as any, but no one was willing to do.

We all argued for a while, saying it wasn't our business to help mortals, even if it endangered us, or that "Oh they are just mortals, they'll just breed more like they always do".
So it was decided that nothing would be done until a more sound plan was formulated, though I myself had doubts that'd ever happen. So I took it upon myself to go it alone and try to fight the evil, though it was until half way there that I was joined by some other fellow dragons who for some reason saw my attempt at a suicide mission was an act of courage and defiance to those too shy or ignorant to take care of the problem, since dragons "mostly" see themselves masters of most realms or places. We arrived and the city was on fire, it was crumbling and of course being attacked, and the humans of course were fighting their hardest but losing very badly. With the evil so distracted devouring and destroying the mortals, I chose this as the best time to attack the enemy's flank. We all attacked from different directions -this thing could ****ing annihilate dragons like an AA gun to a helicopter, so we'd have to be very precise and meaningful in our attacks; many of us wouldn't make it out of this fight I knew that for fact, hell even I could be killed. But if non of us could pull this off, then who else would? The other dragons would see we failed and just hide like little girls or something else shameful, and then WE would be extinct along with these lesser beings. So we had a very epic fight, but unfortunately as much of a resistance and fight we put up, dragons were being vaporized, incinerated, or falling out of the sky to their deaths as the battle progressed (and this was a strike team sized force with me, so not many of us to begin with). After what seemed like an eternity, I managed to find a crack in the creature's defense and focused my efforts there, seeing as I was the last one still capable of fighting while everyone else was being killed and defeated. Striking a vital blow, the evil thing finally began to falter, and even though I was beaten and bloodied -even on the brink of not being able to fly for much longer, I used what tactics and strength I could spare to press the attack until finally the bloody creature collapsed and ensuring it was dead by biting and tearing into its neck area (or what LOOKED like a neck) it went unmoving for three days as I sat there, trying not to bleedout, the damned thing was indeed confirmed dead.

After that was confirmed some of the humans left who were fighting men, despite us sort of being enemies, thanked the dead's efforts as well as my own for saving the city,. I did not wish for their gratitude and told them I hadn't done it for them, but appreciated it anyway, as I turned away to tend to the corpses of my fallen brethren, devising a way to give them the proper respects they deserved -and so the humans didn't use their scales or anything for whatever it is mortals do with animal parts they enjoyed.

Much later I couldn't help but fly around and visit their territory on occasion. Judging from what I could see, they were struggling to get by, so I decided to investigate; however when I showed up, they greeted me not out of fear but with open arms. I was puzzled by this and they had explained that they are still greatful for what I did, and that they'd want me to actually lead them into a better future. I personally didn't' view myself as the leader type, but I did offer advice and the like for how they could get themselves back on their feet, to which they were grateful. Every now and then I'd fly by, land even and just check up on them.

I'd say it was an interesting dream :)

You tell a story quite well, or in this case, your subconscious mind. It's really quite amazing what happens in our heads through the process of sleep.
I've had some pretty crazy dreams myself, many of which inspire a lot of my artwork and writing.
